The design translates the growing trend of silver metallic materials in the fashion industry into a mobile accessory, drawing inspiration from the distinctive wrinkled textures and atmosphere seen in brands such as Maison Margiela.
Intentional wrinkle details were applied around the Sticon attachment holes, transforming a function-driven structural element into a key design feature.
A chrome vacuum metallization process was used to achieve a metallic surface with depth and reflective quality, rather than a flat silver finish. In addition, potential shrinkage issues around screw-support areas—commonly 발생 in single-material injection molding—were addressed by adopting an insert molding structure, ensuring both structural stability and a refined exterior finish.
Coller브랜드와 삼성 Galaxy Z Flip5의 콜라보레이션 케이스 디자인 프로젝트입니다.
패션 영역에서 확장되고 있는 실버 메탈릭 소재의 흐름을 모바일 액세서리로 옮기고, 마르지엘라 등에서 보여지는 실버 패브릭 특유의 주름감과 분위기를 스마트폰 케이스에 적용하고자 했습니다. Coller의 스티콘 시스템이 결합되는 홀 주변에는 의도적인 주름 디테일을 적용해 기능 중심의 구조 요소를 디자인 포인트로 전환했습니다.
표면은 크롬 증착 공법을 사용해 단순한 컬러 표현이 아닌, 빛의 반사와 깊이를 지닌 금속 질감을 구현했습니다.
또한 단일 소재 사출 시 발생할 수 있는 나사 체결부 주변의 수축 문제를 고려해
인서트 사출 구조를 적용함으로써 외관 완성도와 구조 안정성을 동시에 확보했습니다.
