The circular backrest represents the full moon, while the gently curved seat translates its quiet presence into a functional form. Rather than relying on decorative details, the design focuses on proportion, surface tension, and the relationship between simple geometric shapes.
Originally developed as a lounge chair, the design was later evolved into a dining version through a collaboration with Blue Bottle Coffee. During this process, the seating height, angle, and structural balance were refined to support longer sitting durations while maintaining the chair’s original calm and minimal character.
